Take Back Your Health – Danielle Girdano president of D’Fine Sculpting and Nutrition
“I was 29 and wheezing going up stairs!” Danielle Girdano was morbidly obese, smoking two packs of cigarettes a day and getting almost no physical activity. When Danielle realized that the XXL shirts and shorts were becoming too tight on her 5’4” frame she realized she needed to make a life change for her self-esteem and her health. “You have to make a commitment to yourself; nobody can make the decision for you. When you are honest with yourself and realize you only wear elastic shorts in the dead of winter because you can’t fit into jeans or regular pants it is a sobering reality!”
Fast forward and now Danielle is helping others to take back their health. She focuses on bringing movement back to those in sedentary corporate careers. Recently she worked with the Chicago Sky. But she did not work with the WNBA players, she helped their office staff to regain their health. What I found fascinating about her program was the all-around results the participants received. Of course there was weight loss, but there was also improved balance, flexibility, and heart efficiency. What I love about Danielle’s purpose is she is not just focusing on helping people to change their waistlines and body fat index. She is also very focused on the emotional well-being her clients. Self-esteem and joy go hand in hand with good physical health. One does not necessarily beget the other. But it is sure difficult to be in a great mood if one is having difficulty moving around in their daily routine.
